Dinner bowls, are you a fan?

At the moment, it all seems to be about ‘the bowl’. Smoothie bowls for breakfast, poke bowls for lunch and ramen or salad bowls for dinner. This “bowl phase” quickly overtook the “salad-in-a-jar” phase… could it even take over Auckland’s “smashed avo on toast” trend? That’s a big ask but I’m sure it’s pretty close.

I think this trend is like marmite - you either love it or hate it.

For me personally, I love it much like marmite on toast, there is something pretty satisfying in getting a taste of all the dishes flavours in one bite. So, when I saw this beef bowl recipe, it went straight to the top of my dinner ideas list.

Packed full of colourful vegetables and slices of tender scotch fillet, this bowl has stayed at the top of my go-to list and leftovers have been taken to work many times. It’s quick simple and easy to throw together – my top tip is to make extra sesame mayonnaise. It’s delish and goes well on pretty much everything else!

One thing is for sure though – there is no way my breakfast, lunch or dinner bowls ever look as good as the pictures. So, who’s with me on this one? Are you a fan of the #DinnerBowl?
