Today, marks National Lamb Day! So, roast a leg, stew a shank, cook up a cutlet or chomp down on a chop. Just get in the mood and have a really lambtastic time.

We were so excited about National Lamb Day we felt we needed to something massive… and massive it was - a six-metre tall lamb chop. We took it on a Lamb and Three Veg Tiki tour of New Zealand. Check out some of our highlights of the tour HERE.
Not only is today National Lamb Day, it also marks one of the most significant milestones in New Zealand’s meat industry. On this day in 1882 the impossible was achieved when the first shipment of frozen lamb arrived into London – having set off 98 days previously – with the loss of only one carcass. That journey sparked an export industry that is now worth in excess of $8 billion a year to the Kiwi economy.
So New Zealand, get behind it and celebrate an ultimate Kiwi favourite.
